Welcome to GNTDA – Greater Accra Region

The Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA), Greater Accra Region, is the official professional body representing tailors, dressmakers, fashion designers, and apprentices across the region. The Association operates under the national mandate of GNTDA and works through a structured zonal system to support members and stakeholders within the garment and fashion industry.

GNTDA – Greater Accra Region plays a key role in skills development, apprenticeship support, business growth, and advocacy for practitioners in the sector. The Association collaborates with government institutions, municipal and district assemblies, development partners, financial institutions, and the private sector to promote decent work, youth empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our Mission

To strengthen the tailoring and dressmaking profession in Greater Accra by promoting TVET-based skills development, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and partnerships that support local production and productive employment.

Our Vision

To become a leading professional association driving skills excellence, local garment production, youth employment, and participation in Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy within the Greater Accra Region.

Strategic Objective

The strategic objectives of GNTDA – Greater Accra Region are to:

Foster effective collaboration with MMDAs, Ministries, and development partners to support policy implementation at the local level

Promote TVET-based skills development and apprenticeship systems to improve the technical competence and employability of tailors, dressmakers, and fashion designers.

Support local garment production and enterprise development through capacity building, standards compliance, and market-oriented programs.

Strengthen youth employment and job creation by facilitating access to training, mentorship, and structured industry opportunities.

Enhance financial inclusion and business sustainability for members through cooperative savings, affordable credit, and financial literacy.

Institutional Structure
